Since our last request for additional donations, our community has given more than $250,000 — getting us over the $1 million mark. We have now received 1,469 separate donations — an amazing show of support to protect Captiva from increased density and building heights.
Not only have we again received large contributions from the Captiva Civic Association, the Captiva Community Panel, SCCF, and the “Ding” Darling Wildlife Society, we have received incredibly generous donations from individuals, families and family foundations.
With your continued support, we are on the way to reaching our goal of $1.5 million to further our legal work. And, after the destruction to Blind Pass Bridge and Captiva Drive caused by Hurricanes Helene and Milton, the folly of increasing density on a fragile barrier island with a single evacuation route should be evident to all.
