We are just 2 days away from the Lee County Commissioners’ vote on the proposed amendments designed to increase building heights and density on Captiva. The meeting agenda is now available.
Our community needs to make our opposition loud and clear to the commissioners – we must protect the health and safety of our beautiful island!
We attached a helpful handout that details the key issues with the proposed amendments. Please feel free to use this background information as you plan your remarks for Wednesday’s meeting that detail your own personal reasons for opposing the amendments.
Please also email the commissioners ahead of Wednesday’s meeting to leave no doubt where our community stands. Hopefully our county commission will stand with us and the near-unanimous opposition to these shortsighted amendments.
